Tour Overview
From the Sinai coast, the quickest way to see the Pyramids is to fly. This 2 day trip to Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh by air takes about an hour each way instead of a long road journey, leaving you two full days for the highlights of the capital. You have a private Egyptologist and driver throughout, a comfortable 4★ hotel overnight and transfers between your Sharm hotel and the airport at both ends.
Day one covers the Giza plateau and the Grand Egyptian Museum, where the complete Tutankhamun collection is now on show. On day two you see the royal mummies at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation, walk through Coptic Cairo, take in the views from the Citadel and finish with time in Khan el-Khalili before your evening flight back.
Flight times change by season and day of the week, so the exact schedule depends on the flights available for your dates. We will confirm everything in writing before you travel. Entry fees for the listed sites are included, while going inside a pyramid is an optional extra paid on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the flight from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo?
The flight takes about an hour each way. You also need to allow time for check-in and security, so we normally collect you from your hotel around two hours before departure. Flight schedules vary by season and day, and we confirm the times for your dates before you book.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. Because this trip includes domestic flights and a hotel, we ask for a deposit to secure those bookings. The balance is then paid on arrival in Egypt. We will send you the full price and a written confirmation of your flights and hotel before you pay.
What do I need to bring for the flights?
Bring your passport, as it is checked at the airport even on domestic flights. A small overnight bag is ideal. Hand luggage and a checked bag are usually allowed, but limits depend on the airline, so we will tell you the allowance for your flights when we confirm the booking.
Can we go inside a pyramid?
Yes, for an extra fee that your guide can help you pay on the day, subject to availability. The passages are narrow, steep and warm, so they are not suitable for everyone. Many visitors find the outside views and the Sphinx more rewarding than the bare chambers inside.
Is this trip a good choice for families?
Yes. Flying keeps travel time short, which makes it much easier for children than a long road trip. Children under 6 travel free on the ground arrangements and ages 6 to 11 pay half price. Airline child fares can vary, so we confirm the final family price with your quote.
