Tour Overview
Sightseeing first, then the beach. This Cairo Luxor Hurghada holiday packs Egypt’s two greatest historic cities into four busy days and then hands you three nights of sun, sea and all-inclusive comfort on the Red Sea. It is a good fit for couples and families who want to see the Pyramids and the pharaohs’ tombs properly, with a private Egyptologist guide, but also want real time to unwind before flying home.
In Cairo you visit the Giza Plateau and the Grand Egyptian Museum, now fully open with all of Tutankhamun’s treasures on display. A short flight takes you to Luxor, where Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut’s temple fill your time. Then a private car drives you across the Eastern Desert to Hurghada, about four hours away.
Your Hurghada resort is 4★ and all-inclusive, so meals, snacks and local drinks are covered. Spend the days by the pool or on the beach, or add a boat trip to Giftun Island or a quad-bike safari. Hurghada has its own international airport, so you can fly home straight from the coast without going back to Cairo.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive in Cairo
Our representative meets you inside Cairo International Airport, helps at the visa counter if you need it, and takes you to your private car. The drive to your 4★ hotel takes about 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The rest of the day is free to settle in. In the evening your guide will call to say hello, explain the plan for the next few days and confirm the pick-up time for tomorrow’s visit to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Day 2 – Pyramids, Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum
After breakfast your Egyptologist takes you to the Giza Plateau. Walk around the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, take in all three pyramids from the panoramic viewpoint and visit the Great Sphinx beside the Valley Temple. A ticket to go inside a pyramid can be added. After lunch, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, now fully open, where the Tutankhamun galleries show the young king’s golden mask, throne and jewellery together in one place. Return to your hotel in the early evening.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 3 – Fly to Luxor, Karnak & Luxor Temple
Take a morning flight from Cairo to Luxor, about one hour. Your guide meets you and, after checking in to your 4★ hotel, takes you to the Temple of Karnak, the largest religious site of the ancient world. Walk through the forest of columns in the Great Hypostyle Hall and past the sacred lake. Later, continue along the Avenue of Sphinxes to Luxor Temple, which looks especially fine as the evening lights come on. The rest of the evening is free.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 4 – Valley of the Kings, Then Drive to Hurghada
Cross to the West Bank early while it is cooler. Your standard Valley of the Kings ticket covers three tombs, and Tutankhamun’s tomb can be added with an extra ticket. Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. A sunrise balloon flight can be booked beforehand, though flights depend on the weather and may be cancelled. After lunch, your private car drives you about four hours across the desert to Hurghada. Check in to your all-inclusive resort in time for dinner.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 – Free Day in Hurghada
Enjoy a full day to relax at your 4★ all-inclusive resort. Swim in the pool, lie on the beach or snorkel straight from the shore where the resort has a reef. If you fancy an outing, we can arrange a boat trip to Giftun Island for snorkelling in clear water, a Dolphin House trip, or a quad-bike safari with a Bedouin dinner in the desert. These trips are optional and paid locally. Meals and local drinks are included at the resort all day.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 – Free Day in Hurghada
Another unhurried day by the Red Sea. Many travellers save this day for doing very little, though you could also visit Hurghada Marina for a waterside stroll and dinner, or explore El Dahar, the older part of town, with its local market. If you would like to try diving, the resort dive centre can arrange a taster session for beginners. Our local team is available by phone if you need anything, and we will confirm your airport transfer time today.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 – Departure from Hurghada
Enjoy a last breakfast and, depending on your flight time, a final swim. Check-out is usually around midday, and many resorts will hold your luggage if your flight is later. Your private driver collects you from the resort for the short transfer to Hurghada International Airport, normally 15 to 30 minutes away depending on where you are staying. If you need to fly home from Cairo instead, we can add a Hurghada–Cairo flight, about one hour.
Meals: Breakfast
Good to know: Hot-air balloon flights in Luxor depend on the weather and can be cancelled at short notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I fly home from Hurghada?
Yes, and most travellers do. Hurghada International Airport has direct flights to the UK and many European cities, so you can book an open-jaw ticket, arriving in Cairo and leaving from Hurghada. If that does not work for you, we can add a flight from Hurghada to Cairo, which takes about one hour, or a private car, which takes around five to six hours.
What does all-inclusive cover in Hurghada?
At our 4★ resorts, all-inclusive normally covers breakfast, lunch and dinner from the buffet, snacks during the day, and local soft drinks, beer and wine at set hours. Imported spirits, à la carte restaurants and spa treatments usually cost extra. Every resort is slightly different, so we send you the exact details for your hotel when you book.
How long is the drive from Luxor to Hurghada?
It is around four hours on a good desert road, with a rest stop on the way. You travel in a private air-conditioned car with your own driver, so you can stop whenever you need. Leaving Luxor after lunch means you arrive at your resort in Hurghada in time to check in and enjoy dinner.
How do I pay for this holiday?
Because this package includes hotels, a resort stay and a domestic flight, we ask for a deposit when you confirm so we can secure those bookings in your name. The balance is paid on arrival. Any optional excursions you add in Hurghada are paid locally on the day, with no deposit needed.
Is this holiday good for families?
Yes. The sightseeing days are full but manageable for most children, and the resort days give everyone time to rest. Children under 6 travel free and ages 6 to 11 pay half price. We can arrange family rooms or connecting rooms at most hotels, and child seats in the car if you tell us in advance.
